Not for me!,
My parents in law kindly bought this machine for me as a surprise when my old Frister Rossman finally gave up after years of solid service. What a nightmare! The tension is temperamental, and needs constant attention, the cotton snaps constantly, the needle frequently breaks, and it unthreads itself partially whilst I am sewing. I have been a needlewoman for many years, and this machine was the most frustrating experience I have ever had. Completely unreliable, it flies into a sulk and refuses to sew at the slightest provocation. I would not buy another Toyota, and am currently saving up for a Brother or Bernina. This machine is not for me!

Worst Machine Ever!,
I bought this machine after deciding to get back into sewing. I wanted something that would be heavy duty enough to handle sewing denium so thought I’d buy this “budget saving” machine. The tension and bobbin assembley are both nightmares, I’ve spent more time wrestling with these than actually sewing. If you want something that is easy to use, reliable and gives a good end result then this is not the machine for you. My advice is save your money for a Singer or Brother – you will have less headaches and find sewing a pleasure.

A good general purpose sewing machine,
This was purchased to replace an ageing sewing machine that had I borrowed from an elderly relative. It arrived promptly and was easy to master. It was so good that my daughter soon borrowed it to make some curtains and I haven’t seen it since!
Recommended – by myself and my daughter.
