I am very well impressed with this machine. It’s really easy to work with. Manual is simple. It obviously has a foot pedal that is light and easy to control speed. The machine is light and pretty! I have it for domestic use and so far so good!

I’m no sewing expert so I won’t go over the specs as J. Salisbury has kindly done that already. I take up my own jeans to save money and that’s the end of my sewing knowledge, indeed most of the settings on even the most basic machine mean nothing to me. I just wanted a straight stitch with proper polyester thread like my original jeans’ hem. My old Toyata just wasn’t cut out for job even with a ‘jeans needle’.

I took a risk buying an entire new machine in the hope that it really did glide over multiple layers of denim as easy as the promo video showed. It certainly managed it with average denim thickness but needed a few manual turns to be safe over the thick vertical folded seams.

It’s easy to thread and setup and within five minutes of plugging it in I was ready to go with my first pair. Five pairs later and I can’t honestly fault it.

This does make it very lightweight and easily portable.<br/><br/>There is a slight issue with the fuse, though. Check this carefully: at 65W the 3A fuse supplied with the machine blew.<br/><br/>This is a superb machine for the price. If your sewing needs are basic and you need something that will cope with heavy duty fabric, this is an ideal first machine. I was having problems getting through four layers of denim with my current machine, so decided to try this one. Although rather sceptical at first, it has proved to be a very good investment. I have only had one jam, and this was because I hadn’t fed the material far enough under the foot. There is a good range of feet, including one very big, spring-loaded presser, and the feed copes easily with four layers of denim, producing straight runs of even-length stitches. I bought this basic machine to replace one [frister rossman]I’ve had 30 years.Although the machine goes alright but is very
